Crisp & Clean: The Ultimate Spring Cleaning Checklist for Home Sellers
General Cleaning:
- Declutter: Go through each room and declutter items that are not needed or add to visual clutter.
- Dust: Dust all surfaces including shelves, baseboards, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and furniture.
- Wipe Down Surfaces: Clean countertops, tables, and other surfaces with appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Vacuum/Mop Floors: Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors to remove dirt and stains.
- Clean Windows: Wipe down windows and window sills both inside and out. Don’t forget to clean window screens.
- Clean Mirrors: Use glass cleaner to clean mirrors and ensure they are streak-free.
- Polish Fixtures: Polish metal fixtures such as doorknobs, faucets, and cabinet handles.
- Clean Walls: Spot clean any stains on walls and wipe down walls where necessary.
- Wash Curtains/Blinds: Remove curtains and wash them if possible. Dust or wash blinds.

Outdoor Areas:
- Mow Lawn: Keep the lawn neatly mowed and edged.
- Trim Shrubs and Trees: Trim back any overgrown shrubs or trees.
- Sweep Walkways and Driveway: Sweep walkways, driveway, and patio areas.
- Clean Exterior: If applicable, power wash the exterior of the house to remove dirt and grime.

Final Touches:
- Add Fresh Flowers: Place fresh flowers or plants in key areas to add a touch of color and freshness.

- Check for Repairs: Walk through the house to identify any minor repairs that need to be addressed before listing the property.
