According to SmartAsset, rankings show that Houston is one of the friendly cities to first-time home buyers! Although buying a home for the first time in a big city can seem like a tough task, Houston is the perfect place to live!
Houston is ranked number 7, below San Antonio by one, but still above other cities in Texas including Austin, Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth in a list of 25 for first-time homebuyers.
Houston reports show that it has the largest number of mortgage lenders which allows first-time home buyers the opportunity to get competitive rates on their home loans, as well as better terms. Houston also has a high loan funding ratio, which means most buyers get the loan they have asked for!
