What is it about?! Read below!
- Increase the general awareness among state legislators, legislative staff and agencies about Pearland as a large, fast-growth community in the Houston metropolitan area.
- Establish two-way, positive working relationships with legislators, legislative staff and agency personnel.
- Communicate needs and issues of particular interest affecting the Pearland community.
- Educate and involve the local citizenry regarding the activities of the Committee and legislative actions which affect the community.
The last planning meeting will be held at the Chamber on
Friday, February 10 at 9:30 AM.
What does it cost?
Our VERY generous sponsors underwrite the vast majority of the costs associated with Pearland Day in Austin. As a participant, they would like you to purchase a shirt. Travel and lodging are at your expense. But, you are invited to join them for lunch and the social on Wednesday and breakfast on Thursday. They must have reservations prior to Friday, February 17.
How do I make a reservation?
If you would like to contribute as a sponsor, they would be proud to recognize you as such. If you choose to attend as a participant, the committee would love to have you join them. Where is everybody staying?
The host hotel is the Omni Hotel – Downtown
700 San Jacinto, Austin, TX 78701
512-397-4805. The block of rooms have all been taken. There are other hotels close to the Omni Hotel if you are not able to secure rooms.
Do I have to attend both days?
No. Some of the attendees will be arriving early the morning of February 22 and leaving after visits or the social.
Is anyone carpooling to Austin?
