Now is the perfect time to start looking for elegant formal wear for upcoming proms, banquets, and other school related events! The Formal Closet is the best place to go for those in need! Pearland Council of PTAs and PISD has put together this closet to help people donate, swap and voucher clothes! Not only can you donate formal clothes but casual clothes as well!
The Formal Closet offers gently-used formal wear!
Students are able to swap gently-used formal wear for other formal wear items.
If you choose to donate, it may be tax deductible and a tax receipt is available for all donations.
Vouchers for students in need will be good for one set of formal wear only (gown and shoes for girl and necktie, shirt, jacket, pants and shoes for boy).
The Formal Closet accepts these items:
- Girl’s formal wear: Gowns, heels and formal handbags (no cotton/casual dresses)
- Boy’s formal wear: Neckties, shirts, suit jackets, pants and formal shoes
Open from 5-7 pm on these dates:

The Formal Closet is located in the brown building behind Pearland Junior High West and across from PACE Center (2314 Old Alvin Road), Pearland TX 77581
Enter from Old Alvin Road and turn in the driveway leading to PACE. The building is straight ahead. Look for a “Swap Shop” banner.
