This weekend, there will be a total closure of SH 288 and FM 518, causing MAJOR traffic in the Pearland area. To build the SH 288 bridge over FM 518, all mainlines of Highway 288 at 518 will be closed in all directions to allow the crews to begin construction. This will happen beginning Friday, January 11 at 9 p.m. until Saturday, January 12 at 9 a.m. The feeder will open, however, drivers can also detour to Almeda or Cullen. As an alternate route, drivers can also take McHard or Hughes Ranch. There will also be light showers and clouds throughout the weekend. The median temperature will be around 63° so bring your jackets!
